London town!

a photo diary

It is so easy to be impressed by London. The vast array of architecture and history is so exciting to be around and a photographers dream. London has a special light quality rather like a special “London” filter from a photo app.

If I had to pick a favourite part of London I would probably pick Chelsea, since we have stayed there a few time, but that being said, we have also stayed in Kensington, which is also charming. I know there are many more interesting spots to stay and explore. London seems to be a giant cluster of villages, all joined together.

I mean, can you even handle this gorgeous street in Chelsea or the impressive entryways on the streets of Kensington?

Shopping opportunities abound. Again, I do love the pace of Chelsea, but Knightsbridge, Covent Garden, Regent Street and Spitalfields all have their charms. I welcome shopping suggestions and tips in my comments below.

A few more of our neighbourhood street and a favourite stop of mine, the Jo Malone flagship store on Sloane Street.

Spitalfields Market is a MUST. We have collected a few treasures and jammed them into our already overstuffed suitcases from this mecca of bits and bobs, treasures and vintage delights.

Until next time, London xoxoxo
